When you have both a landline and a mobile number associated with your ONSIM SIM, you have full control over which one people see when you call them. If the "wrong" number is appearing, itβs usually a simple settings mismatch.
1. How to Change Your Display Number (Dashboard)
You can instantly update your outbound identity (CLI) through your self-service portal.
Login: Access your dashboard at app.onsim.uk.
Select User: Navigate to the Users section on the left and click the specific user you want to update.
Update Profile: Go to the Profile tab.
Set Caller ID: Locate the Caller ID field. Use the dropdown menu to select the number you want to present (e.g., your Landline, your Mobile, or a shared Company Number).
Save: Click Save Changes. The update is usually active within seconds.
Note: You can only select numbers that are currently hosted on your ONSIM account. To display an external number, contact support@onsim.uk for compliance verification.
2. Refreshing "Stuck" Settings
If you have changed the setting in the dashboard but the old number is still appearing:
The "Airplane Mode" Refresh: Toggle Airplane Mode ON for 10 seconds and then OFF. This forces the SIM to re-register with the network and pull down the latest CLI configuration.

Check "Show My Caller ID" in Phone Settings: Ensure your actual handset settings (iOS/Android) aren't overriding the network.
iPhone: Settings > Phone > Show My Caller ID (Should be ON).
Android: Phone App > Settings > Supplementary Services > Show Caller ID (Set to "Network Default").
