ONSIM offers a flexible voicemail system designed for business efficiency. By default, your service is optimised for "Voicemail-to-Email," but you can customise this to suit your workflow.
1. Default Setup: Voicemail-to-Email
To ensure you never miss a message and your mailbox never gets "full," your service is configured as follows by default:
Email Delivery: Voicemails are sent instantly to your registered email as a media attachment.
Auto-Delete: Once the email is sent, the recording is deleted from our server to free up space.
Troubleshooting Missing Emails
If you aren't receiving your notifications:
Check Spam: Your email filters may be flagging the attachments.
Whitelist: Ask your IT provider to whitelist our automated delivery addresses.
Verify Address: Contact us with a call example (date, time, and caller) so we can confirm the exact destination address in our logs.
Updating Your Email or Settings
You can update your voicemail email address or change the "Voicemail Action" (the setup) at any time:
-
Self-Service: Log in to your online dashboard, select the User, click the Calls tab, and update the Voicemail section.
Note: These settings are user-specific; if you have multiple users, you will need to update each one individually.
Support: Email your request to support@onsim.uk.
2. Dial-In Voicemail (Manual Access)
If you prefer to listen to messages by phone, you can change your "Voicemail Action" in the dashboard or via support.
Important: Your mailbox has a 10MB limit. If you choose to store messages on the server to listen via phone, you must delete them manually. If the mailbox becomes full, callers will not be able to leave new messages.
How to Listen via your ONSiM SIM
Dial *98 from your handset.
The system will announce your messages; press 1 to listen.
-
Menu Options during playback:
4 - Replay message
5 - Hear date/time of the message
7 - Delete (Highly recommended after listening)
9 - Save message
* - Return to main menu
3. Hunt Group Voicemails
A "Hunt Group" is a main number (like your office line) that rings multiple SIMs at once.
The Limitation: You cannot dial *98 to hear Hunt Group messages because the voicemail is attached to the main office number, not your individual SIM.
The Solution: We strongly recommend the Voicemail-to-Email setup for Hunt Groups. We can send the email to one address but you can then set up rules on your emails to forward these onto the people who need them.
Alternative: If you prefer not to use email, our support team can provide access to a Voicemail Dashboard where you can listen to group messages via a web browser. Email support@onsim.uk to request access.
