If you are using ONSIM for your business, you can easily connect your service to WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business. Because ONSIM numbers function natively at the network level, they are fully compatible with messaging apps.
How you set up your account depends entirely on whether your ONSIM profile is routing a Mobile (07) number or a Landline (01, 02, 03) number.
🛠️ How to Verify Your Account
When setting up WhatsApp, the app will ask you to verify your phone number to prove ownership. Please follow the instructions below based on your specific number type:
1. For Mobile Numbers (07)
If your ONSIM profile uses a standard mobile number, you can verify your account normally. WhatsApp will send a standard 6-digit SMS text code to your device. Simply type that code into WhatsApp to complete your setup.
2. For Landline Numbers (01, 02, 03)
Because traditional landline numbers cannot receive or accept SMS text messages, the default text verification will fail. To get around this, use WhatsApp's voice verification feature;
1.Enter your landline number:
Input your full ONSIM landline number into WhatsApp (ensuring the country code is correct) and tap Next.
2.Wait for the SMS timer to run out:
WhatsApp will attempt to send a text message. Since it's a landline, you won't receive it. Wait 2 minutes for the countdown timer on the screen to reach zero.
3.Select:
Once the timer expires, a Call me option will appear on your screen. Tap it.
4.Answer the call and enter the code:
Your phone will ring via your ONSIM line. An automated voice will read out your 6-digit verification code. Write it down and type it into WhatsApp to activate your profile.
⚠️ Important Support Notice Regarding WhatsApp
Please Note: WhatsApp is a third-party application owned and operated by Meta. It is completely independent of our network.
While we can guarantee that your ONSIM number is active and capable of receiving verification calls/texts, our support team cannot provide technical troubleshooting or assistance for the WhatsApp application itself.
If you experience app crashes, messaging issues, or account blocks, you will need to reach out directly to WhatsApp Support for assistance.
