Many business owners want the flexibility of a mobile with the professional feel of a desk phone. At ONSIM, we make this possible by allowing your business number to live on both devices simultaneously.
Depending on how many people need to be on the phone at once, there are two ways to set this up.
Option 1: The "Twinned" Service
This is the simplest setup for individuals who want their office phone and mobile to act as one.
How it works: Your SIM and desk phone are "twinned." When someone calls your landline number, both devices ring.
Simultaneous Calls: This setup supports one active call at a time. If you are on your mobile, the desk phone will appear busy, and vice versa.
Best for: Solopreneurs or single-user businesses who want to switch between devices seamlessly.
Option 2: The "Hunt Group" Setup
If you need more than one person to be able to make or receive calls at the same time, we recommend using two separate lines.
How it works: You have two active base plans (one for the SIM, one for the desk phone). We place them in a "Hunt Group" so they both ring for incoming calls.
Simultaneous Calls: This allows for two active calls at once. You could be on the desk phone while a colleague is on the mobile, both using the same business identity.
Caller ID: Both devices will still display your main business landline number to the person you are calling.
Best for: Small teams or businesses with high call volumes.
