If you have an eSIM-compatible device, we can provide an eSIM instead of a physical SIM. This allows for instant activation and the ability to use multiple lines on a single handset.
Existing Customers
If you have upgraded your device and need to switch your current service from a physical SIM to an eSIM, you can do this on your online portal or can email support@onsim.uk to request this. Please ensure that the device you are switching to is a supported handset.
Installation Guide
Before you begin, ensure your device is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network, as the eSIM profile must be downloaded from our servers.
Android (Samsung, Google Pixel, etc.)
Open Settings: Go to Connections (Samsung) or Network & Internet (Pixel).
Access SIM Manager: Tap SIM Manager or the "+" icon next to SIMs.
Add Plan: Select Add eSIM or Download a SIM instead?
Scan QR Code: Choose Scan carrier QR code and use your camera to scan the code provided in your ONSiM email.
Confirm: Follow the on-screen prompts to download and activate the profile.
⚠️ CRITICAL STEP: Once installed, you must enable VoLTE in your mobile network settings. Without this, you will not be able to make or receive calls.
Apple iPhone (XS, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and newer)
Open Settings: Go to Mobile Service (or Mobile Data).
Add eSIM: Tap Add eSIM.
Scan QR Code: Tap Use QR Code and scan the image sent to your email.
Label Your Lines: You will be prompted to assign a name to your new line (e.g., "ONSiM" or "Business").
Set Defaults: Choose which line you want to use for default data and calls. You can change this later in Settings > Mobile Service.
⚠️ CRITICAL STEP: Once setup is complete, go to Settings > Mobile Service > [Your ONSiM Line] > Voice & Data and ensure VoLTE is toggled ON.
Troubleshooting & Support
Can't scan the code? If you are viewing the QR code on the same device you are trying to activate it on, you will need to send the code to another device and scan from there.
No Signal? Ensure your device is unlocked from any previous network providers.
