👥 Can I share the same number on multiple SIMs?

Yes! You can have one primary business number (such as an 01, 02, or 020 landline number) that rings across multiple ONSIM SIM cards. This ensures your team can answer calls from anywhere and always present a professional, consistent image.

While many standard mobile networks cannot share one number across multiple devices, ONSIM makes this possible using Hunt Groups. This is the perfect solution for teams who want a unified business identity across several handsets.

 

How it works: The Hunt Group

A Hunt Group acts as a "traffic controller" for your incoming calls. Instead of a call going to a single person, it is distributed to a group of SIMs.

  • Unified Inbound Calls: You choose how the phones ring. You can have them ring simultaneously (all at once) or sequentially (in a specific order).

  • Unified Outbound Caller ID: Every SIM in the group can be configured to show your main business number when making calls. When a customer calls back, the call returns to the whole group, not just one individual.

  • Unique Extensions: Even though they share a main number, each SIM still has its own unique extension for internal calling and a direct dial number.

💳 Pricing & Requirements

  • Individual Base Plans: Each SIM card requires its own active ONSIM plan (e.g., the £10 + VAT Base Plan). Plans and inclusive minutes cannot be shared between SIM cards.

  • Hunt Group Cost: 

    • Free: If you have 2 or more active ONSIM SIMs, one Hunt Group is included at no extra cost.

    • £5 + VAT: For single-user accounts wishing to use a Hunt Group (e.g., to forward to external numbers).

  1. Order Your SIMs: Purchase the number of SIMs/eSIMs you need for your team.

  2. Request the Hunt Group: Once your SIMs are active, email support@onsim.uk with your request.

  3. Define Your Routing: Tell our team:

    • Which number should be the "main" shared number.

    • Which SIMs should be in the group.

    • Whether you want them to ring all at once or in a specific order.

💡 Why is this better than a standard mobile group?

Unlike "Ring Groups" on other networks, ONSIM works at the network level. This means there are no apps to install and no delays caused by call forwarding. It works natively on every handset, ensuring high-quality calls and instant ringing.
