1. Is my port free?
We want to make joining ONSIM as easy as possible, so we cover the cost of your first single-line port submission.
Standard Single Line: Your first submission is on us!
Please Note: We only cover the cost of the initial submission. If the request is rejected by your current provider due to incorrect information, subsequent resubmissions will incur a fee (see Failed Port Fees below).
Additional Numbers: If you wish to port more than one number, a fee of ÂŖ20 + VAT per number applies.
Number Ranges: We can port entire ranges of numbers. Because these are more complex, please email support@onsim.uk for a bespoke quote.
2. Failed Port Fees (Avoid these!)
When we submit a port request, we incur non-refundable charges on your behalf. If your current provider rejects the request because the information on the form doesn't match their records, we must pass that cost on to you.
| Type of Port | Failed Port Fee (per rejection) |
|---|---|
| Single Line | ÂŖ20 + VAT |
| Multi-line / Range | ÂŖ120 + VAT |
đĄ Top Tip: To avoid these fees, double-check your account number and postcode against your most recent bill from your current provider before submitting our porting form, we also recommend calling your current provider to check the details of the underlying carrier. The details must match exactly.
3. Cancelled Port Fees
If you change your mind after we have already submitted the request to the network, the following "change of mind" fees apply to cover the administrative costs:
Single Lines
Submitted but not yet accepted: ÂŖ20 + VAT
Accepted (Port date is 2+ working days away): ÂŖ20 + VAT
Accepted (Port date is within 1 working day): ÂŖ50 + VAT
Multi-line / Ranges
At any stage after submission: ÂŖ120 + VAT
â How to ensure a successful switch
Check your bill: Ensure the name, address, and account number on your porting form match your current provider's records.
Check the underlying carrier information: Get in touch with your current provider to ask for this information.
Stay Active: Do not cancel your service with your old provider until the port is 100% complete.
Pay Rejection Fees Promptly: If a port fails, the rejection fee must be settled before we can resubmit the request with the corrected information.
