One of the standout features of the ONSiM Landline SIM is the ability to choose which identity you present to the world. Whether you want to appear as a local business or a mobile professional, you have full control over your outbound Caller ID.
You can choose to display your ONSiM landline number, your mobile number, or even a shared main office number when making outbound calls.
1. Default Settings
Landline First: By default, your Caller ID is set to the landline number associated with your SIM.
Mobile Alternative: If you have opted for a mobile-only plan, your mobile number will be displayed by default.
2. How to Change Your Display Number
You can update your Caller ID at any time using our self-service portal or by contacting support.
Self-Service via the Dashboard (Instant): You can change your outbound number manually for any user on your account:
Log in to your online dashboard.
Navigate to the Users section and select the specific user you wish to update.
Go to the Profile tab.
Update the Caller ID field using the dropdown menu and save your changes.
Note: You can only select numbers that are currently hosted on your ONSiM account via the dashboard.
3. Displaying External Numbers (Compliance)
If you wish to display a number that is not hosted on the ONSiM network (such as a number still held with another provider), we must follow strict industry compliance guidelines to prevent "spoofing."
Verification Required: You must provide proof of ownership for the external number.
Signed Authorisation: Our team will provide a compliance form that must be signed by an authorised person on the account.
Compliance Review: Our Compliance Team must sign off on the request before the external Caller ID can be activated.
