A Hunt Group is a powerful call-routing feature that ensures your business never misses a call. It takes an incoming call to a single main number and distributes it across multiple users or devices.
How a Hunt Group Works
Instead of a call ringing just one person, it can reach your entire team. For example, a call to your main office line can ring several SIMs at once, allowing whoever is available to pick up.
1. Flexible Routing Options
You can customise how calls are distributed within your group:
Simultaneous Ring: All phones in the group ring at the same time. The first person to answer takes the call.
Sequential (Order) Ring: Phones ring in a specific order. For example, SIM 1 rings for 15 seconds; if unanswered, the call moves to SIM 2, and so on.
2. "On-Platform" vs. "Off-Platform" Numbers
On-Platform: These are SIMs provided by ONSIM.
Off-Platform: These are external mobile or landline numbers held with other providers.
Note on Charges: Hunt Groups do not have an inclusive call allowance. While calls to ONSIM SIMs are included, any calls forwarded to off-platform numbers are chargeable at our standard outbound rates.
Pricing & Eligibility
Free for Teams: One Hunt Group is provided free of charge for all accounts with two or more active ONSIM SIMs.
Single User Accounts: If you have only one active SIM and wish to use a Hunt Group (typically to forward calls to external numbers), the cost is £5 + VAT per month, plus the cost of the forwarded calls.
How to Set Up a Hunt Group
To add a Hunt Group to your account, please email support@onsim.uk with the following details:
The Main Number: Which number should trigger the Hunt Group?
The Members: A list of the SIMs/numbers that should receive the calls.
The Ring Pattern: Do you want them to ring all at once or in a specific sequence?
No Answer Greeting: Where should the call go if nobody answers (e.g., a specific voicemail)?
