Whether you want a fresh start with a new local identity or need to keep the business number your customers already know, ONSIM makes the process straightforward during signup.
🆕 Option 1: Choosing a New Number
If you would like a brand-new landline number, you can select one during the Landline SIM registration process:
Select Area Code: Search for the specific town, city, or national prefix (e.g., 020 for London or 033 for National) that you would like.
Pick Your Number: A list of available numbers in that specific range will be displayed. Simply click the one that fits your business best.
📥 Option 2: Porting an Existing Number
If you already own a landline number with another provider (like BT, Virgin, or a VoIP provider), you can port it to ONSIM.
Select the "Port a Number" option during signup.

📱 The Underlying Mobile Number (for SMS)
If you are signing up for our landline sim product, when you choose a landline number, the system will automatically assign a random mobile number to your SIM.
Why do I need this? Because UK landline numbers are designed for voice only, your SIM requires an underlying mobile number to handle SMS functionality.
Automatic Assignment: This number is assigned at random (it cannot be chosen).
Where to find it: Once your signup is complete, log into your Dashboard and view your User Profile to see the mobile number assigned to your SIM. See our guide on finding your mobile number here.
