The short answer is yes. The ONSIM Landline Replacement service is designed specifically to allow you to keep the hardware you already know and trust.
How it works
When the traditional copper network (PSTN) is switched off, your phone's "connection" to the outside world changes, but the phone itself doesn't have to.
The "Magic Box": We provide a small ONSIM Landline Replacement box.
The Connection: Instead of plugging your phone into the BT wall socket, you simply plug it into the back of our box.
The Result: Your phone will have a standard dial tone, and it will ring exactly as it does now.
Why this is better than "Digital Voice"
Many providers (like BT or Sky) require you to plug your phone into a broadband router. This often means:
You have to move your phone to wherever your router is.
Your phone won't work if your internet goes down.
You might need to buy new "Digital" handsets.
With ONSIM, your phone stays where you want it. It doesn't need the internet, and it doesn't need a computer. It simply uses the mobile network to send your calls.
🚀 "Plug & Play" Checklist
To get started, all you need is:
Your current phone (with its standard telephone cable).
The ONSIM Box (which we send to you).
A standard power socket to plug the box into.
