One of the biggest challenges for small businesses is knowing whether an incoming call is a personal one or a potential new client. To distinguish between these calls on your screen, you must choose SIM Mode during your setup.
Identify Calls with SIM Mode
When you choose SIM Mode (via eSIM or physical SIM), your phone treats your business number as a second "line" alongside your personal one.
On-Screen Labels: When your phone rings, your screen will display a labelβsuch as "Business" or "Work"βnext to the callerβs number.
The Advantage: You know to answer with your professional business greeting before you even pick up. You can distinguish work from life at a glance.
[!IMPORTANT] A Note on Divert Mode: If you choose Divert Mode, calls are simply forwarded to your mobile number. Because they arrive as a standard redirected call, your phone cannot distinguish them from personal calls on your screen. You must select SIM Mode to get visual call identification.
Why ONSIM SIM Mode is better than a "Call Whisper"
Many other virtual landline providers use a Call Whisper, which requires you to:
Answer the phone blindly.
Listen to a recording (e.g., "Incoming call for Business").
Decide whether to take the call while the customer waits in silence.
With ONSIM SIM Mode: There is no "whisper" delay. You see the call type on your screen instantly and answer immediately, sounding professional from the very first second.
