Linphone is a free VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) softphone that allows you to take your ONSIM business calls on your mobile device. Follow this guide to get connected.
1. Download the App
Install Linphone from your device's app store.
2. Get Your Credentials
You will need a unique SIP Username & Password to link the app to your ONSIM account.
Action Required: Please email support@onsim.uk to request your SIP credentials if you haven't received them yet.
3. Initial Configuration
Open Linphone: Accept the necessary permissions (Microphone, Contacts, etc.) to ensure the app works correctly.
Accept Terms: Check the box to accept the Linphone T&Cs.
Choose Account Type: Select the "USE SIP ACCOUNT" option.
Confirm: On the next screen, tap "I Understand".
Enter Details: Input the credentials provided by the ONSIM support team and tap LOGIN.
4. Fixing the "Connection Failed" Error
It is normal to see a "CONNECTION FAILED" message at the top of the screen during the first attempt. Follow these steps to resolve it:
Tap the MENU button (three lines) to the left of the error message.
Go to SETTINGS.
Under "SIP ACCOUNTS", tap the account name (usually starts with "mxxxxxx").
Switch the "More Options" slider to ON.
Match Settings: Ensure your configuration matches the reference image below [Insert Image].
Save & Connect: Press the Back Arrow in the top-left corner.
The status at the top of the screen should now change to "CONNECTED" (Green). Press back once more to return to the dialpad.

Usage: You are now ready to make and receive calls. Ensure the app has permission to run in the background to avoid missing calls.
