What is the default voicemail set up?
By default, voicemail is set up to email the voicemails as a media attachment to an email address and then delete from the server. This is done to ensure that your mailbox does not become full and so that you can always receive new voicemails.
What should I do if I have not received the voicemail email?
If you are not receiving the emails for the voicemails, please check that they have not been sent to spam. If they are not in spam, please contact our support team (support@onsim.uk) with a call example, they will then check to make sure they are being sent to the correct email address. Please note that you may need to contact your email provider to ask them to whitelist the address to prevent any emails from being blocked in the future.
How do I update the email address for voicemail?
You can either update the email address on your online dashboard or if you would prefer you can send the change request to our support team by emailing support@onsim.uk.
How do I change the voicemail set up?
If you would prefer to be able to dial in to listen to voicemails you will need to ask for the default to be changed. Please request this by emailing support@onsim.uk.
Please note that if you have a hunt group (i.e. a main number which calls multiple SIMs) you will not be able to dial in to listen to voicemails left on the main number- please see accessing hunt group voicemails section below.
How do I access the voicemails by dialling in to listen?
Once you have changed the default set up so that you can dial in to listen to voicemails, you will need to proceed as follows.
Please note that if you have a hunt group (i.e. a main number which calls multiple SIMs) you will not be able to dial in to listen to voicemails left on the main number- please see accessing hunt group voicemails section below.
From the mobile with your GO SIM in it:
1. Dial *98
2. The system will announce if you have any messages and you can then press 1 to listen to these
3. The system will then play the messages and announce "end of messages' once they have been played
Once the messages have been played:
- To replay a message press 4
- To announce the date and time of message press 5
- To delete the message press 7
- To save the message press 9
- To return to the main menu press *
Please note that you only have 10MB of storage so we would recommend deleting the messages as soon as you have listened to them. If you do not do this your mailbox will become full and callers will not be able to leave any new messages for you.
How do I access voicemails on a hunt group number?
If you have a hunt group (1 main number which calls out to multiple SIMs/numbers) then you will not be able to dial *98 from the SIMs to listen to the voicemails as they would be left on the main number and not the numbers associated with the SIMs.
We would recommend that for this set up you use the default set up of the system emailing the voicemails out to an email address and then deleting them from the server. If you need to set the emails to go to multiple email addresses this would need to be done on your email system by setting up incoming email rules as we can only send them to one email address on the system.
If you do not want the voicemails emailed to you then our support team can provide you with access to the voicemail dashboard so that you can login to listen to these. To request this please email support@onsim.uk.
