There are three ways to move a call to another extension. Choose the method that best fits your situation:
1. Blind Transfer
Best for: Sending a call quickly without speaking to the recipient.
During an active call, press the Options soft key, then select Transfer (or press the dedicated TRAN button if available).
Dial the extension or phone number of the receiving party.
Press the Transfer key again. The call is sent immediately, and your line will disconnect.
2. Attended Transfer (Recommended)
Best for: Introducing the caller to the recipient before handing over the call.
Press the Options soft key, then select Transfer. The caller is automatically placed on hold.
Dial the extension of the recipient and press the OK button or Call key.
Wait for the recipient to answer and announce the caller.
When ready to connect them, press the Transfer key.
3. Semi-Attended Transfer
Best for: Confirming the recipient's phone is ringing before hanging up.
Press the Options soft key, then select Transfer. The caller is placed on hold.
Dial the extension of the recipient and press OK.
Once you hear the ringback tone (the phone is ringing on the other end), press the Transfer key.
π‘ Pro Tips for DECT Handsets
Cancel a Transfer: If the recipient doesn't answer or doesn't want to take the call, press the End key (Red phone icon) or the Swap/Resume soft key to return to the original caller.
Directory Transfer: Instead of dialing an extension, you can often press the Directory or Contact key after hitting Transfer to find a colleague by name.
