There are 2 ways to update your divert settings, this guide shows how to update on CV3, this system has been replaced by app.onsim.uk. To view the older cv3 guide, please click here.
This guide details how to add divert settings and also how to update numbers on diverts which are already in place.
If you need diverts setting up for a specific time period each day e.g office hours 9-5 only, please contact our support team (support@onsim.uk) who will be able to set up the time of day routing for you. Please note that we require 2 working days notice to set up any diverts manually. Once the time of day routing is set up you would be able to follow the update part of this guide below to update the numbers the calls divert to.
To add divert settings
Login at app.onsim.uk you will then be taken to your dashboard.
In the menu on the left of the page, please click users and go into the user you want to update the divert for.
The settings you change will then be dependent on what you would like the calls to do.
First you would need to choose your answering mode (See below for description of each), once you have selected the correct one please click save changes.
Answering Modes:
- Ring, Forward, Voicemail - this will ring your ONSIM SIM, forward to the divert number and then go to voicemail
- Forward then Voicemail - this will NOT ring your ONSIM SIM, forward to the divert number and then go to voicemail
- Ring then Voicemail - this will ring your ONSIM SIM and if no answer will go to voicemail
- Voicemail only - calls will go straight to voicemail
- Ring, then Forward- this will ring your ONSIM SIM and then will forward to the divert number
- Forward only - this will NOT ring your ONSIM SIM or go to voicemail, it will ONLY forward the calls to the divert number
- Ring only - this will ring your ONSIM SIM and if no answer it will timeout and the call will be disconnected
- Reject Call - this will disconnect all calls straight away without ringing or going to voicemail
If you have selected an option which includes forward, you then also need to set the number to forward calls to.
In the call forwarding box, toggle this option on if it is not already done
You then need to add the number you want to forward to. Please ensure that the number you enter for the forwarding number is in the correct format e.g. 44xxxxxxxxxx and not 0xxxxxxxxxx and note that you can only forward to UK inclusive numbers.
Please also enter the timeout in seconds that you want.
Once you have done this please click save changes.
Please note that if you have not set the default answering mode to include 'forward' in the ring pattern then the divert will not work. Both of the above steps must be completed in order for the divert to work.
