You can use the dashboard to add simple diverts to your line, for example diverting to another number if you don't answer a call or diverting all calls if you are on holiday.
If you need to add more complex diverts, such as with time of day routing or diverting to multiple numbers you will need to email support@onsim.uk to ask us to set these up for you.
To add a simple divert, please login to your dashboard here - https://my.onsim.uk/
Once you have logged into the dashboard, please click Users (left hand side of the page) and then select the User you would like to add the divert for.
You can then either click 'Diverts' from the menu or scroll down to the right settings.
Diverts use two of the settings depending on how you want the divert to work.
First you need to choose your Incoming call answering mode and choose your timeout duration, once you have selected the options please press Save Changes. Please note that if you need the call to divert to another number you must also complete the steps below to add the divert number.
Answering Modes:
- Ring, Forward, Voicemail - this will ring your ONSIM SIM, forward to the divert number and then go to voicemail
- Ring, then Forward- this will ring your ONSIM SIM and then will forward to the divert number
- Ring then Voicemail - this will ring your ONSIM SIM and if no answer will go to voicemail
- Forward then Voicemail - this will NOT ring your ONSIM SIM, forward to the divert number and then go to voicemail
- Ring only - this will ring your ONSIM SIM and if no answer it will timeout and the call will be disconnected
- Forward only - this will NOT ring your ONSIM SIM or go to voicemail, it will ONLY forward the calls to the divert number
- Voicemail only - calls will go straight to voicemail
- Reject Call - this will disconnect all calls straight away without ringing or going to voicemail
In the Call Forwarding Box, please toggle this option on to bring up the following settings:
You then need to enter the forwarding number and the timeout duration.
Please ensure that the number you enter for the forwarding number is in the correct format e.g. 44xxxxxxxxxx and not 0xxxxxxxxxx and note that you can only forward to UK inclusive numbers.
Once the number and timeout duration has been entered please click Save Changes.
Please note that if you have not set the default answering mode to include 'forward' in the ring pattern then the divert will not work. Both of the above steps must be completed in order for the divert to work.
